The Rogue Warrior

Japanese automakers have recently introduced a winter-themed Rogue Warrior Concept at the Montreal International Auto Show. This one is designed to have no problems while taking up the snow covered highways of the American North. Instead of the normal wheels, this Rogue Warrior has been outfitted with a Dominator snow track system from American Track Truck.

The snow tracks were fitted to the Rogue by Quebec-based Motorsports in Action and are 48 inches long, 30 inches tall, and 15 inches wide. In order to handle the modifications, the crossover also had to receive alterations to its suspension. The package was completed by the addition of snow guards and enlarged wheel wells. The powertrain remained the same and it features the standard Xtronic
transmission and regular all-wheel drive system.

The Rogue Warrior concept showed at the Montreal International Auto Show comes packing 23 inches of ground clearance and can climb a 45 degree grade in groomed snow – all the while being able to reach a top speed of up to 62 mph.

While you can't get the Rogue Warrior just yet, you can shop our current Rogue inventory at www.lujacknissan.com or visit our showroom located at 3750 N. Harrison St. Davenport, IA. 52806 where you can speak with a member of our Nissan Certified Sales Team. We look forward to hearing from you.

Nissan unveils their Nissan Titan Warrior Concept

Looking ready to handle a Walking Dead "zompocalypse" the new Nissan Titan Warrior concept has all the aggressiveness it needs to survive in dreadful conditions.  The Titan Warrior sources the 2016 Titan XD and treats it to a very extreme transformation with a "Modern Armor" exterior.  The body has been completely remodeled, which is wider on each side by three inches and sits higher from the ground by almost three inches to make way for those “tiny” off-road 37-inch tires which use “puny” 18-inch alloys featuring a machined aluminum trim. Unique LED headlights and custom taillights complete the exterior changes.

The interior you'll find an “indestructible” design with carbon fiber, leather, and polished chrome. Under the hood we see the same turbodiesel 5.0-liter V8 Cummins engine delivering 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque to a heavy-duty six-speed automatic gearbox. While the model certainly looks exciting and could have the potential to represent an interesting competitor for the equally menacing Ford F-150 Raptor, Nissan has remained quiet about the potential introduction of a hardcore Titan XD for now.

Strange Dayz: Nissan debuts Concept Car at Tokyo Auto Show

Bizarrely dubbed Teatro for Dayz—a name that blends the Italian word for theater (teatro) and a current Nissan minicar—the EV concept was designed not so much for driving, but for occupants interested in creating, connecting, and sharing.
Nissan describes the target for the Teatro for Dayz as the new generation that went straight from the cradle to digital technology as “share natives.” The company is worried that, despite the fact these youngsters will reach driving age in a few years, they show little interest in cars.

The Teatro for Dayz’s boxy, floating-roof design, zero-emissions powertrain, and state-of-the-art connectivity is Nissan’s remedy to get share natives interested in cars. The concept gets a Spartan white interior that the company says doubles as a blank canvas for occupants to express themselves artistically. Either that or Nissan hasn’t quite decided how the cabin should be decked out.

So Nissan may not have the car in stock, but you can shop our other inventory at www.lujacknissan.com or visit our showroom located at 3750 N. Harrison St. Davenport, IA. 52806 where you can speak with a member of our Nissan Certified Sales Team. We look forward to hearing from you!

Which tires are right for your car?

As we head in to winter, Lujack Nissan encourages everyone to take notice of their tires.  The tires your car is riding on can have a dramatic impact in several ways.  They help determine your gas mileage, how your car handles, breaking distance, how it rides, and how it performs in different types of weather.  There are differing opinions on whether different tires  for winter are necessary or even advantageous if you live in an area where climates are varied.  Here, we try to help guide you through the process of choosing which tires are best for your car.

A few tips when deciding:  Consider your driving conditions, as well as your driving habits.  If you live in an area where snowfall is prevalent and you drive "aggressively" no matter the conditions, then  you are probably a good candidate for snow tires.  They will help with your braking distances, keeping you and those around you safer.  Even if you are a cautious driver, snow tires are something to consider.  All-season tires simply can't be the best tires for all seasons, they are designed to be acceptable for all conditions.

Buy the best tires you can afford.  Especially living in the Midwest, we never know what the weather will bring us.  Having the best tires on your car you can might keep you out of an accident, and will help your car perform better.

The 2016 Nissan Sentra

Nissan has been on a mission to bring more cohesion to its lineup. Starting with the Nissan Murano crossover, the automaker introduced a new design language that has since made its way onto the new Maxima and Altima. Now the 2016 Nissan Sentra gets updated styling and technology in four models, the base S, the SV, the SR, and the top-of-the line SL, to share more with its upscale siblings.
Past Sentra models held less of a striking design compared to other models in the Nissan lineup, but now, that has changed.
The new Nissan Sentra features an updated front fascia, grille, fenders, hood, and Nissan’s signature boomerang-shaped headlights. The low-beam headlights now feature LEDs, and the SR and SL models get LED accents. The new Sentra also gets a revised rear fascia with boomerang taillights. The SR and SL models come with two new 17-inch wheel designs, and the SV offers a new 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design.

Nissan unveils IDS Concept Car

Today, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. unveiled a concept vehicle that embodies Nissan's vision of the future of autonomous driving and zero emission EVs: the Nissan IDS Concept. Nissan president and CEO Carlos Ghosn said: "Nissan's forthcoming technologies will revolutionize the relationship between car and driver, and future mobility." After leading the development and expansion of EV technology, Nissan once again stands at the forefront of automotive technology. Nissan Intelligent Driving is Nissan's concept of autonomous drive technology and represents what Nissan believes next-generation vehicles should be. "Nissan Intelligent Driving improves a driver's ability to see, think and react. It compensates for human error, which causes more than 90 percent of all car accidents. As a result, time spent behind the wheel is safer, cleaner, more efficient and more fun," continued Ghosn.
